Going to bars & clubs while having to work at 9am the next morning isn't a good thing; especially when you've been doing it constantly for the past while...
Last night was probably the best though; I rode the mechanical bull 3 times, danced with two people and made out with a random unknown person while like 10 other people were watching. I had a good night. I kinda wanted to talk to the person after and go dance again, but I didn't have enough in me and it wasn't really what I was looking for, but she seemed cool; drunken-ness and all...
So, the party was a definite success... I changed locations and cut down the guest list; which was the best thing I could have done because the whole thing really worked out well.
The camping spot I chose is a great one, and I'll be going there again before someone decides to put houses or something there. We actually had a fire without any problem; we were right by the beach anyway. When we set up our tents... Mine was the most confusing, even though it looked like the rest, but it turned out to be the biggest and I was happy (never put it up before). That turned out to be an advantage for later, even though when I woke up the tent was collapsed, but that's another story ;)
In total, I bought $98 worth of alcohol (2x12 packs of Kokanee, 1x12 of Budweiser which was for everyone else and a 12 pack of Smirnoff Ice for me), but mostly everyone brought something so I had the case of Smirnoff to myself and I still have like 90% of the beer left over.... I ended up drinking 10 of the 12 Ices, so I was happy; if not the most obviously drunk person there...
I wanna talk to someone, but they're not online *tear*
That is all...
I'll be having a camping party in celebration of my 19th birthday, and holy 3-month old baby jesus... it's really hard to find a place that can accomodate 15 people. I went walking/running through the woods yesterday; trying to find an acceptable location, and only found a semi-small one :(
Although there is one place left, and when it's all set up, it'll be awesome. I've got $200 for alcohol, other people are buying the
food, there'll be music (if I can get a system from someone in time) and possibly a campfire (if I deem it safe to do, if not though I'll buy some lights and have a bbq).
But yeah, I'm quite excited :D
Vox still needs that lj-cut function.
Today marks the first day that I've met someone in real life after talking to them for a short time on the internetz. It was kind of an odd experience, however it was fun nonetheless. I like to talk to people for a good while before I intend to meet them; which obviously didn't happen here, but we had a good conversation or two going.
We sat in Future Shop (Canadian equivalent of Best Buy) for an hour and watched 'Anger Management' on the home theater setup... it was horrible in store and the people don't know how to make it look and sound good worth crap, but the couch we were sitting on was simply orgasmic. I mean, the movie was pretty decent, but I've seen it too many times to really get a good laugh out of it... You know what I mean. Adam Sandler is the bees knees and Jack Nicholson is just pure awesome sauce. I kind of wish they would be in another movie together; but really, I just want another Billy Madison or Waterboy out of Sandler before age sets in....
I also showed them around the town, since they're only a transient visitor. We were going to go see 'Lady In The Water', but our bus systems cut off after six o'clock so they had to take it back to the place she was staying at or face a four-hour walk... We said goodbye and I started to walk past the mall and ran into another friend on sheer coincidence. We picked up two more people, and had an awesome night of swimming and pizza. I've had way too many cans of 'full throttle', but it was worth it all.
What was the highlight of this past weekend?
The highlight of my weekend was that I actually went swimming for the first time this summer. The people that intended to go had changed but I was happy with the people that actually could go (Albert and Darise), seeing as they're my best/good friends. There's this awesome area called Stokom (sp?) Falls that's a short drive out of town, and it has little pools along the bedrock that you can swim in and a small cliff thing to jump off of. The temperature of the day rose to around 97 degrees, so this was the place to be for loads of people in the Comox Valley (people sort of left over time thankfully). There was this random person who came out of the bush though and walked by us and eventually came back way... It was kinda weird since there are no houses for a good hour's walk...
Then afterwards we headed up to Mt. Washington with some A&W we picked up on the way and stopped on a random trail; the area was awesome. We had trouble getting back up a few hills in Albert's truck... Everything worked out fine though :D
And then AFTER THAT... We proceeded to get some alcohol and sat on a jungle gym at one of the schools; talking about memories and attempting to get secrets out of me (thankfully I didn't drink all that much). We sat there from around 11 till 3 in the morning, it was great.
I slept over at Albert's and went home the next day... That is all...
